GRAPE H500

General Information

The hanger-type shot blasting system is designed to maximize productivity while maintaining high surface treatment quality. The process starts with the operator hanging the parts to be treated on custom-made metal frames, engineered to ensure stability and accessibility during blasting.

The frames are then attached to two hooks suspended on motorized hoists running along a Y‑shaped rail. This layout allows simultaneous management of two cycles: while one frame is being processed inside the chamber, the operator can safely load the second one outside, eliminating downtime between cycles.

Before entering the machine, the operator uses the touchscreen panel to set the cycle parameters: blasting time and turbine power. The simple, intuitive interface enables quick configuration even for batches with varying characteristics.

Once the parameters are set, the operator manually pushes the frame toward the entry point. From there, the system takes over: the frame is automatically picked up, the doors close by themselves, and the cycle starts without further intervention.

During the cycle, the frame rotates on its axis, exposing every surface of the parts to the high‑velocity metallic shot projected by the turbines. This controlled rotation ensures a uniform treatment, even on complex geometries.

At the end of the cycle, the doors open and the frame is automatically ejected. The operator can then remove the treated hanger and immediately load the second one, already prepared, maintaining an uninterrupted workflow.

This cyclic operation logic, combined with partial automation of movements, gives the system high production capacity, making it ideal for series production requiring reliability, efficiency, and high-quality surface finishing.

Built‑In Armor

The shot blasting machine is built with a full manganese‑steel body, a high‑strength alloy specifically chosen for its extreme hardness and self‑healing surface properties under repeated impacts. This design choice ensures superior long‑term durability, even in heavy‑duty operating conditions.

The chamber doors feature an additional 3 mm manganese lining (Mn12%), providing localized abrasion resistance in the areas most exposed to mechanical stress and shot wear. Every detail is engineered to preserve the system’s integrity over time while reducing the need for extraordinary maintenance.

Auto‑Hook Drag System

The workpiece frame handling system integrates assisted movement logic with proximity sensors and controlled actuators, designed to reduce operator effort and ensure maximum safety during loading and unloading phases.

Operation is intuitive: the “hanger” frame is placed at the chamber entrance; the proximity sensor detects its presence and enables cycle start on the touchscreen in real time. With a simple touch, the operator activates the drag chain, which automatically hooks the frame and aligns it inside the blasting machine—no additional manual intervention required.

During the blasting cycle, the control software performs an intermediate chain advancement, moving the frame forward by about 15–20 cm. This micro‑positioning changes the angle of impact of the shot projected by the turbines, ensuring uniform coverage and a noticeable improvement in surface quality, even on complex geometries.

The combination of smart automation and a simplified interface raises the process to outstanding ergonomic standards: the operator works safely, downtime is eliminated, and finishing quality remains consistent cycle after cycle.

Hook Capacity: 500 kg Each

HOOK CAPACITY: Each hook has a maximum load capacity of 500 kg, supporting structural loads or components with high specific density. The usable dimensions for processing are ø 1000 mm in width and 1500 mm in height, making the system suitable for treating bulky components such as castings, metal frameworks, tubular elements, and medium‑to‑large structures.

INCLUDED ACCESSORIES: The shot blasting machine comes with an automatic self‑cleaning filter, designed to ensure process continuity and maximum dust‑removal efficiency. The system keeps filtering capacity constant, minimizing maintenance needs while ensuring compliance with current environmental emission standards.

TURBINE INVERTERS: On request, the system can be equipped with Siemens G120C 7.5 kW inverters for each turbine to control turbine rotation speed. This feature allows the operator to fine‑tune abrasive intensity according to material type or desired finish, providing maximum operational flexibility even for varied production cycles.
